Alida's path
- 1983: Graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Portland
- 1983-1985: Hospital staff nurse, Cardiac Unit, St Vincent's Hospital, Portland, Oregon
- 1985-1990: Home Health/Hospice Nurse, St Vincent's Hospital, Portland, Oregon
- 1990-1998: Case Manager, St Vincent's Hospital, Portland, Oregon, including development of a system to ensure quality of care throughout the patient stay
- 1998: Received Certified Healing Touch Practitioner credential and began private practice
- 1998-2003: Mentored three successful practitioners through their receipt of the CHTP credential
- 2003-2005: Organized four Healing Touch for Animals™ workshops
- 2004: Completed Level 4 to become a Healing Touch for Animals™ practitioner
- 2005: Published Falling in Love with Sauny
- 2005-2006: Hospice Nurse
- 2003-2008: Participated in the development of the Willamette Valley Healing Touch Community, including the implementation of a free clinic
